Tools and materials:

* 8 mm hexagon
* 13 mm wrench
* 17mm wrench
* Retaining ring remover
* O-ring washer
* Automatic transmission filter
* Transmission fluid

Repair procedure:

1. Remove the crankcase protection.
2. Unscrew the automatic transmission drain plug bolt and drain the transmission fluid into a clean container.
3. Clean the drain plug and reinstall it.
4. Unscrew the six bolts securing the automatic transmission pan with a 17 mm wrench.
5. Carefully separate the pan from the automatic transmission housing using a flat-head screwdriver or a plastic scraper.
6. Remove the automatic transmission filter and clean the pan of dirt and oil residues.
7. Replace the washer O-ring with a new one.
8. Reinstall the washer.
9. Install a new automatic transmission filter.
10. Apply a small amount of sealant to the mating surface of the pallet.
11. Place the pan back on the automatic transmission housing and tighten the bolts with a 17 mm wrench.
12. Fill the automatic transmission with transmission fluid through the inspection hole.
13. Check the fluid level and add if necessary.
14. Install the crankcase protection.

Helpful Tips:

* It is recommended to change the automatic transmission filter along with the washer.
* Use only original transmission fluid recommended for the automatic transmission of your Range Rover Evoque.
* Torque pan bolts to manufacturer specifications.
* During repairs, keep the automatic transmission clean to prevent contaminants from getting inside.
