Required materials:
* New automatic transmission pan gasket (26330-23500)
* Transmission sealant (31750-32000)
* Automatic transmission oil
* Tool set (ratchet, extensions, sockets, hexagons)
Instructions:
1. Raise the car. Place it on lifts or use jacks and stands.
2. Drain the oil from the automatic transmission. Remove the pan plug and drain the oil into a clean container.
3. Remove the automatic transmission pan. There are several bolts around the pan that need to be unscrewed with a hex wrench. Lightly tap the pan with a rubber mallet to loosen it.
4. Remove the old gasket. Remove the old gasket from the pan and the surface of the automatic transmission unit. Clean the surfaces of gasket and sealant residues.
5. Apply sealant to the new gasket. Apply a thin layer of transmission sealant to the new gasket on both sides.
6. Install a new gasket. Install a new gasket on the pan and on the automatic transmission unit, making sure that it is located correctly.
7. Tighten the pan bolts. Start by tightening the bolts lightly, tightening them evenly in a circle.
8. Install the pan plug. Install the pan plug and tighten it.
9. Fill the automatic transmission with new oil. Fill the automatic transmission with new oil to the recommended level.
10. Start the engine and check for leaks. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Check under the car for oil leaks.
Adviсe:
*Use quality tools and transmission sealant.
*Do not over-tighten the pan bolts as this may damage the gasket.
*Allow the sealant to dry completely before lowering the vehicle.
* Check the fluid level in the automatic transmission after the car has been running and the oil has warmed up.
