Removing the right automatic transmission drive oil seal on an Opel Mokka

Required tools and materials:

* Set of socket wrenches
* Wheel nut wrench
* Jack and supports
* Flat head screwdriver
* RTV sealant
* New drive seal

Instructions:

1. Set the vehicle to the parking brake and block the wheels with chocks.

2. Jack up the front right side of the vehicle and secure it with stands.

3. Remove the right front wheel.

4. Unscrew the bolts securing the CV joint to the hub and remove the CV joint.

5. Unscrew the bolts securing the drive shaft to the gearbox and remove the drive shaft. Be careful about oil leaking from the gearbox.

6. Using a flathead screwdriver, carefully pry and remove the old oil seal.

7. Clean the oil seal seat on the shaft and in the gearbox housing.

8. Apply a thin layer of RTV sealant to the outer edge of the new oil seal and press it into place.

9. Reinstall the drive shaft and tighten the mounting bolts.

10. Install the CV joint on the drive shaft and tighten the mounting bolts.

11. Reinstall the wheel and tighten the wheel nuts.

12. Lower the car and check the oil level in the gearbox. Add oil if necessary.

Notes:

* Use only the original oil seal or one of equivalent quality.
* Clean all components from oil and dirt before assembly.
* Do not use excessive force when tightening bolts.
* After installing the oil seal, start the engine and check for leaks.
