The on-board computer of many cars displays the temperature of the automatic transmission fluid. It is usually designated as “Temp ATF” or “Fluid Temp”.
For most automatic transmissions, normal operating temperatures range from 70 to 110 degrees Celsius (158 to 230 degrees Fahrenheit). If the temperature exceeds this range, it may indicate problems with the automatic transmission that require inspection and repair.
Check your vehicle’s owner’s manual for specific information about the normal operating temperature of the automatic transmission for your model.
