Checking the oil level in the Mitsubishi Pajero 4 automatic transmission

Required tools:

* Set of socket wrenches
* Funnel
* Clean rag

Verification procedure:

1. Place the car on a level surface.
2. Warm up the engine and transmission.
– Start the engine and let it idle for 5-10 minutes.
– Shift the gear lever to each position for a few seconds and then return it to Park (P).
3. Measure the oil level.
– Find the oil level plug on the automatic transmission pan. It is usually located on the right side of the transmission, under the air filter.
– Unscrew the plug using a socket wrench.
– A small amount of oil should begin to flow out. If the oil does not flow out, this indicates a low level.
4. Add oil as needed.
– If the oil level is low, add automatic transmission fluid through a funnel into the hole to check the level.
– Add oil in small portions and check the level after each addition.
5. Continue adding oil until it begins to flow out of the inspection hole.
6. Close the plug to check the level and clean up the spilled oil.

Note:

*Always use the automatic transmission fluid recommended by the manufacturer for your specific vehicle.
* It is recommended to regularly check the automatic transmission oil level, especially before long trips or towing heavy loads.
