Automatic transmission oil level dipsticks for Mercedes-Benz

The location and procedure for checking the automatic transmission oil level will vary depending on the specific model and year of Mercedes-Benz. Here are the general steps for most modern models:

Location:

* Usually located under the hood, next to the engine.
* Has a bright handle with fluid type (ATF) markings.
*Can be transparent or opaque with measurement marks.

Verification procedure:

1. Warm up the car:
* Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes to warm up the oil.

2. Place the car on a level surface:
* This will ensure an accurate oil level measurement.

3. Remove the dipstick:
* Pull the dipstick out of its tube.

4. Wipe the dipstick with a clean cloth:
* Remove all oil from the dipstick.

5. Insert the dipstick back into the tube:
* Insert the dipstick all the way and then pull it out again.

6. Check the oil level:
* The oil level should be between the “MIN” and “MAX” marks on the dipstick.

Notes:

* Some Mercedes-Benz models have an electronic automatic transmission oil level sensor, which displays information on the dashboard. In this case, the dipstick will not be accessible.
* If the oil level is below the “MIN” mark, it is necessary to add ATF fluid.
* If the oil level is above the “MAX” mark, excess fluid should be drained.
*Only use the ATF fluid recommended for your specific Mercedes-Benz model.
