Materials:

* New ATF gear oil (approx. 4 liters)
* New automatic transmission oil filter
* Automatic transmission pan gasket
* O-ring for automatic transmission pan plug
* Wrenches with sockets or ratchet
* Funnel for filling oil
* Clean rags

Tools:

* Lift or jack
* Stands
* Socket wrench
* 10 mm hexagon
* 17 mm hex key
* Rectangular metal ring

Instructions:

1. Preparatory work:

* Park the car on a level surface and place it in the parking lot.
* Place stands under the car for safety.

2. Draining old oil:

* Locate the transmission pan drain plug on the bottom of the transmission.
* Place a drain pan under the plug.
*Using a 17mm hex socket, loosen the plug and drain the oil into the pan.
*Be careful, the oil may be hot.

3. Replacing the oil filter:

* Remove the automatic transmission pan by unscrewing the bolts around the perimeter.
*Locate the oil filter in the center of the pan.
* Using a rectangular metal ring, unscrew the filter.
* Replace the old filter with a new one.

4. Installing a new oil pan:

* Install a new gasket on the automatic transmission pan.
* Screw the pan into place and tighten the bolts.

5. Replacing the drain plug O-ring:

* Replace the drain plug O-ring with a new one.

6. Filling with new oil:

* Locate the automatic transmission filler hole on the top side of the transmission.
* Insert a funnel into the filler hole and fill in new ATF oil.
* Fill in approximately 3 liters of oil.

7. Checking the oil level:

* Start the engine and switch the automatic transmission selector to different positions.
* Let the engine run for a few minutes.
*Check the oil level again and add if necessary.
* The oil level should be between the “MIN” and “MAX” marks on the automatic transmission dipstick.

8. Cleaning and inspection:

* Wipe all surfaces free of oil and install all removed components.
* Tighten all bolts and plugs.
* Make sure there are no oil leaks under the car.

9. Resetting the oil aging counter:

* Connect the scanner to the vehicle’s diagnostic port.
*Open your scanner software.
* Go to the automatic transmission section.
* Select the oil aging counter reset function.
* Confirm the reset and wait for it to complete.

10. Performing a test run:

* Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.
* Switch the automatic transmission selector to different positions and drive the car for about 10 kilometers.
*Check the oil level again and make sure it is at the correct level.
