Tools and materials:
* New ATF gear oil (DX-12)
* Drain plug and gasket
* Oil pan
* Funnel
* 13 mm wrench
* 10 mm wrench
* Torque wrench
* OBD II scanner
* Thermometer
Replacement procedure:
1. Preparation:
* Warm up the engine and transmission by driving the car for several kilometers.
* Place the vehicle on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
2. Draining old oil:
* Place a container with a capacity of at least 5 liters under the oil pan.
* Unscrew the drain plug using a 13 mm wrench.
* Drain the old oil into a container.
3. Replacing the drain plug and gasket:
* Install a new drain plug and gasket.
* Tighten the drain plug using a torque wrench to 20 Nm.
4. Removing the oil pan:
* Unscrew the oil pan mounting bolts using a 10 mm wrench.
* Carefully separate the oil pan from the transmission.
* Clean the transmission pan and surface of old oil and residues.
5. Replacing the oil filter:
* The oil pan contains the oil filter. Remove it and replace it with a new one.
6. Installing the oil pan:
* Reinstall the cleaned oil pan.
* Tighten the mounting bolts using a torque wrench to a torque of 12 Nm.
7. Filling with new oil:
* Pour new ATF oil into the transmission pan through a funnel.
*Use an OBD II scanner to check the transmission oil temperature.
* Continue adding oil until the level reaches operating temperature and the drain hole is full.
8. Checking the oil level:
* Tighten the drain plug.
* Start the engine and drive the transmission through all gears.
* Check the oil level on the transmission dipstick.
* The oil level should be between the «HOT» and «COLD» marks.
9. Reset service counter:
*Connect the OBD II scanner to the car.
* Reset the service counter for the transmission.
Tightening torque:
* Drain plug: 20 Nm
* Oil pan: 12 Nm
Recommended replacement interval:
* Every 60,000 km or 4 years, whichever comes first.
