Materials:
* 4 liters of Nissan CVT NS-2 transmission fluid
* New oil filter
*Transmission pan gasket (optional)
* Oil drain tools (wrench or hexagon)
* Basin for draining oil
* Funnel
Procedure:
1. Preparation:
* Start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature.
* Place the vehicle on a lift or pallets to provide safe access to the transmission pan.
* Gather the necessary materials and tools.
2. Draining old oil:
* Locate and loosen the transmission pan drain plug.
* Place a bowl under the drain hole to drain the oil.
* Unscrew the drain plug completely and allow the oil to drain.
* As soon as the oil flow decreases to a trickle, tighten the drain plug with a new gasket or sealant.
3. Removing and cleaning the tray:
* Clean the area around the transmission pan from dirt.
* Unscrew the bolts securing the pallet and carefully remove it.
* Clean the pan of old oil, sediment and metal shavings.
4. Replacing the oil filter:
* Disconnect the oil filter from the transmission pan.
* Install the new oil filter and tighten it to the recommended torque.
5. Pallet installation:
* Install a pan gasket or apply sealant to the edges of the pan.
* Attach the pan to the gearbox and tighten the mounting bolts.
6. Filling with new oil:
* Using a funnel, pour 3 liters of Nissan CVT NS-2 transmission fluid through the filler hole on the transmission.
* Start the engine and let it idle for 1-2 minutes.
* Check the oil level on the dipstick and add as needed until the level reaches the «HOT» mark.
7. Completion:
* Lower the vehicle from the lift or pallets.
* Reset the transmission oil life counter in the engine control unit (ECU).
*Keep your service receipt to record the vehicle’s service history.
