Required tools and materials:

*Fresh transmission oil (check owner’s manual for type and quantity specified)
* New oil pan gasket
* Drain pan
* Funnel
* Socket wrench, ratchet and extension
* Rags or gloves

Steps:

1. Preparation:

*Place the car in park and apply the parking brake.
* Allow the engine to cool to reduce oil temperature.

2. Draining the oil:

* Install a drain pan under the drain hole on the oil pan.
* Unscrew the drain bolt and allow the oil to drain into the pan.
* After most of the oil has drained, remove the oil pan.
* Clean the oil pan and magnet from metal shavings.

3. Replacing the gasket:

* Remove the old gasket from the oil pan and clean the surfaces.
* Install a new gasket on the oil pan.

4. Installing the oil pan:

* Reattach the oil pan and tighten the bolts following the tightening diagram.

5. Filling oil:

*Insert a funnel into the filler hole and add the recommended amount of new transmission oil.
* Burn the dipstick and check the oil level. Add oil if necessary.

6. Reset service counter:

*If your vehicle has a service meter, it will need to be reset after an oil change. The reset procedure may vary depending on the model. Refer to the instruction manual for instructions.

7. Level check:

* Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.
* Shift the gear selector to all positions and hold each gear for a few seconds.
* Burn the dipstick and check the oil level. Add oil if necessary.

Note:

* It is recommended that you always consult your owner’s manual for specific requirements and procedures for your vehicle model.
* Dispose of used oil and filter according to local regulations.
* Regularly changing your transmission oil will extend its life and ensure smooth gear shifting.
