Occupational safety instructions for an electrician for car repairs

1. General requirements

* The mechanic must undergo training in labor protection, fire and electrical safety and have a certificate for the right to perform work.
* Before starting work, the mechanic must put on the required personal protective equipment (PPE): overalls, safety shoes, dielectric gloves and respiratory and eye protection, if necessary.
* It is prohibited to be in the workplace under the influence of alcohol or drugs, as well as to smoke or eat.
* The workplace must be equipped with fire extinguishing equipment (fire extinguisher).
* Tools, instruments and equipment must be in good condition.
* Electrical equipment must be grounded.
* In case of equipment malfunction, immediately turn off the tool or devices and report it to the supervisor.

2. Requirements before starting work

* Receive a task from the manager and familiarize yourself with the technical documentation for the vehicle being repaired.
* Inspect the workplace, remove foreign objects.
* Check the serviceability of tools, instruments and equipment.
* Ensure sufficient lighting of the workplace.
* Ensure that sufficient quantities of lubricants and cleaning agents are available.

3. Requirements during operation

* Wear dielectric gloves when working on electrical equipment.
* Use proper tools.
* Avoid cluttering the work area.
* Clean up spilled lubricants and cleaning products in a timely manner.
* Disconnect the vehicle being repaired from the on-board network while the work is being carried out.
* Dismantle and replace parts in accordance with technical documentation.
* Install and connect repaired components and assemblies in accordance with technical documentation.
* Run in a repaired vehicle in a safe place.

4. Requirements upon completion of work

* Disconnect the vehicle being repaired from the on-board network.
* Collect tools and equipment and put them in storage.
* Tidy up your work area.
* Submit completed work to the supervisor.

5. Requirements in emergency situations

* If an emergency occurs (fire, electric shock, etc.), immediately report it to your supervisor.
* First aid.
* Evacuation of an emergency vehicle to a safe place.
* Maintaining an emergency situation until the arrival of responsible persons.

The electrician and the work manager are responsible for following these instructions.
