Electrical equipment of the NIVA car
1. Power supplies
* The battery is the main device that powers the vehicle’s electrical systems when the engine is not running.
* Generator – generates electricity when the engine is running and charges the battery.
2. Ignition system
* Ignition coil – generates high voltage pulses to supply a spark to the spark plugs.
* Spark plugs – provide a spark discharge in the combustion chamber.
* Ignition distributor – distributes high-voltage impulses among the spark plugs.
3. Starting system
* Starter is an electric motor that starts the internal combustion engine.
* Starter relay – turns the starter on/off.
4. Lighting and alarm system
* Headlights and taillights – provide visibility at night.
* Direction indicators – indicate the direction of a turn or lane change.
* Brake lights – signal braking.
* Side lights – indicate the dimensions of the car at night.
* Sound signal – gives a sound signal to attract the attention of other road users.
5. Engine control system
* Electric fuel pump – supplies fuel to the engine.
* Injectors – inject fuel into the engine.
* Engine management system sensors – monitor various engine parameters (temperature, pressure, crankshaft position, etc.) and transmit information to the control unit.
* Engine control unit (ECU) – analyzes signals from sensors and controls the fuel injection and ignition system to ensure optimal engine operation.
6. Other electrical systems
* Heater and air conditioner – provide heat or cooling to the car interior.
* Radio and audio system – play music and other audio materials.
* Window lifters – allow you to raise and lower the side windows.
* Central locking – locks and unlocks the car doors.
* Electronic anti-theft device – protects the car from theft.
