Required materials:

* Transmission fluid filter for Nissan Terrano 2017
*Nissan Matic Fluid D (amount may vary depending on engine model)
* Oil pan gasket
* New oil pan bolt
* Ratchet wrenches or sockets
* Gloves
* Oil drain pan

Instructions:

1. Prepare the vehicle: Park the vehicle on a level surface, set the parking brake and allow the engine to cool.

2. Gather the required materials: Make sure you have all the necessary materials and tools.

3. Raise the vehicle: Raise the vehicle on a jack or lift to facilitate access to the underbody. Install supports for safety.

4. Locate the automatic transmission oil pan: The oil pan is located at the bottom of the transmission. It is bolted to the transmission housing.

5. Drain the oil: Place an oil drain pan under the automatic transmission oil pan. Loosen the drain plug bolt using a wrench or socket and slowly drain the oil.

6. Replace the transmission fluid filter: After the oil has been drained, remove the bolts holding the transmission fluid filter in place and remove the old filter. Install the new filter and tighten the bolts.

7. Clean the oil pan: Clean the oil pan of old oil and gaskets. Replace the oil pan gasket with a new one.

8. Install Oil Pan: Carefully install the cleaned oil pan onto the transmission. Install the bolts and tighten them to the specified torque.

9. Refill with new oil: Fill the transmission with the required amount of new transmission oil. Use a funnel to avoid spillage.

10. Check the oil level: Start the engine and run for a few minutes. Then move the gear selector to all positions and back to park. Turn off the engine and wait a few minutes. Check the oil level using the dipstick and add oil if necessary.

11. Lower the vehicle: Slowly lower the vehicle by removing the jack or lift.

Notes:

* It is recommended to change the transmission fluid and filter every 30,000 – 60,000 km or as recommended by the manufacturer.
*Use only high quality transmission fluid recommended for your vehicle.
*Refer to your vehicle’s owner’s manual for more detailed instructions and specific tightening torque information.
