Required materials:

* Automatic transmission oil (see your vehicle’s owner’s manual for the specified type and quantity)
* New automatic transmission oil filter
* Automatic transmission oil pan gasket
* Set of wrenches or ratchets
* Funnel
* Container for draining old oil

1. Ensure safety: Park the vehicle on a level surface, apply the parking brake, and allow the engine to cool.

2. Prepare tools and materials: Gather all the necessary materials and tools.

3. Raise the vehicle: Raise the vehicle using a jack or lift to provide access to the underbody. Make sure the vehicle is securely secured.

4. Remove the crankcase protection: If there is a crankcase protection, remove it by unscrewing the bolts.

5. Locate the oil drain plug: Locate the oil drain plug on the automatic transmission oil pan. It is usually located on the underside of the pallet.

6. Place a drain container: Place a drain container under the drain plug.

7. Drain the old oil: Unscrew the oil drain plug using a wrench or ratchet. Allow the old oil to drain completely into the container.

11. Fill new automatic transmission oil: Using a funnel, pour new automatic transmission oil into the filler plug on the automatic transmission housing. Fill in the amount of oil specified in the vehicle’s operating manual.

12. Check the oil level: Start the engine and let it idle. Then shift the gear selector to each position and back to park. Stay in park and check the oil level using the automatic transmission dipstick. The oil level should be between the HOT and COLD marks. Add oil if necessary.

13. Install the sump guard: Reinstall the sump guard and tighten the bolts.

14. Reset the oil change counter: Connect the diagnostic scanner to the vehicle and reset the automatic transmission oil change counter.

15. Release the vehicle: Lower the vehicle from the jack or lift.

Notes:

* Change the automatic transmission oil regularly in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
* Use only the specified type of automatic transmission oil.
* Make sure that the oil drain plug and automatic transmission oil filter are tightened to the specified torque.
