Location of automatic transmission speed sensor in Nissan Primera P12:
The automatic transmission speed sensor is located on the left side of the transmission, next to the output shaft.
Replacing the automatic transmission speed sensor in Nissan Primera P12:
1. Remove the negative battery terminal.
2. Raise the car with a jack and secure it with stands.
3. Remove the left front wheel.
4. Identify the automatic transmission speed sensor. It has a single wire electrical connector and screws into the transmission housing.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector.
6. Remove the automatic transmission speed sensor using a socket wrench.
7. Apply some transmission fluid to the O-ring of the new sensor.
8. Screw in the new automatic transmission speed sensor and tighten it using a torque wrench to vehicle manufacturer specifications.
9. Connect the electrical connector.
10. Reinstall the wheel and lower the vehicle.
11. Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
12. Reset the DTC using the diagnostic scanner if necessary.
