Transmission oil filter (AT) for Nissan Mistral

Replacement frequency:

* It is recommended to replace the AT filter every 60,000-100,000 km, or every 2-3 years.

Filter location:

* The filter is located in the transmission pan. To access it you need to remove the pan.

Required tools:

* Wrench set
* Container for draining transmission fluid
* New gear oil
* New transmission pan gasket (recommended)

Replacement steps:

1. Prepare the vehicle (set the parking brake and let the engine cool).
2. Gather the necessary tools and materials.
3. Place a container under the car to drain the transmission fluid.
4. Loosen the transmission pan mounting bolts.
5. Remove the pan and drain the remaining transmission fluid.
6. Locate the AT filter, usually located on the side of the pan.
7. Remove the old filter.
8. Clean the surface where the filter is installed.
9. Install the new filter and tighten it with bolts.
10. Reinstall the transmission pan and tighten the mounting bolts.
11. Fill with new transmission fluid according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
12. Start the engine and check the transmission fluid level.
13. If necessary, add fluid to the required level.
