Tools and materials:
* New oil for automatic transmission Nissan CVT NS-2 (about 4 liters)
* New automatic transmission oil filter
* New pan gasket
* 10 mm socket wrench
* 19 mm socket wrench
* Oil drain container
Replacement procedure:
1. Provide access to the automatic transmission pan. Jack up the front of the car and install support stands. Remove the lower engine protection panel.
2. Drain the old oil. Place a container under the automatic transmission pan and unscrew the drain plug using a 19 mm socket wrench. Let the oil drain completely.
3. Remove the automatic transmission pan. Unscrew the pan bolts with a 10 mm socket wrench. Pull the pan down slightly to remove it from the transmission housing.
4. Replace the oil filter. The oil filter is located on the automatic transmission pan. Unscrew the filter mounting bolts and remove it. Install the new oil filter and tighten the bolts.
5. Clean the automatic transmission pan and magnet. Thoroughly clean the automatic transmission pan of any remaining oil and metal shavings. Also clean the magnet located on the tray that collects metal shavings.
6. Install a new pan gasket. Install a new pan gasket on the automatic transmission pan. Make sure it is positioned correctly.
7. Reinstall the automatic transmission pan. Lift the automatic transmission pan and install it on the automatic transmission housing. Tighten the pan bolts using a 10mm socket wrench using a cross pattern.
8. Fill with new oil. Gradually pour new oil into the automatic transmission through the filler hole. Monitor the oil level using the automatic transmission dipstick. The oil level should be between the «MIN» and «MAX» marks on the dipstick.
9. Reset the oil aging counter. Reset the oil aging counter using an OBD-II scanner. This must be done so that the on-board computer accurately tracks the service life of the automatic transmission oil.
10. Check the oil level. After resetting the counter, start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes. Then stop the engine and after a few minutes check the oil level using the automatic transmission dipstick. Add oil if necessary.
