Location:
The automatic transmission filter is located in the automatic transmission pan.
Tools required for replacement:
* Wrench
* Hex key
* Oil drain pan
* Rags
Replacement procedure:
1. Draining the automatic transmission oil
* Place the oil drain pan under the automatic transmission pan.
* Loosen the drain plug and drain the oil into the pan.
* Tighten the drain plug.
2. Removing the automatic transmission pan
* Loosen the bolts securing the automatic transmission pan.
* Remove the automatic transmission pan. There will be a filter underneath it.
3. Filter replacement
* Remove the old filter from the pan.
* Install the new filter into the pan.
4. Installing the automatic transmission pan
* Put the automatic transmission pan in place and tighten the bolts.
* Fill in new automatic transmission oil through the filler hole.
* Check the automatic transmission oil level using the dipstick.
5. Cleaning the automatic transmission pan
* Clean the automatic transmission pan of old oil and debris.
* Reinstall the automatic transmission pan.
6. Topping up automatic transmission oil
* Check the automatic transmission oil level using the dipstick.
* If necessary, add oil to the appropriate level.
Important:
* Use automatic transmission oil recommended for your vehicle.
*Tighten bolts to proper torque.
* After replacing the filter, drive the car for several kilometers to check the automatic transmission oil level and make sure there are no leaks.
