Materials required to change the oil in a Nissan Almera G15 automatic transmission:

* New NS-2 gear oil (volume depends on the volume of oil in the transmission)
* New transmission oil filter
* Transmission pan gasket
* Transmission pan bolt wrench
* Funnel for filling oil
* Container for draining old oil
* Torque wrench

Instructions for changing gearbox oil:

1. Raise the vehicle on a lift or place it on a level surface. Make sure the vehicle is in park and the gearshift lever is in neutral.
2. Locate the drain plug on the transmission pan. It is usually located at the bottom of the tray. Place a container to drain the old oil under the drain plug.
3. Unscrew the drain plug using a wrench. Oil will begin to flow out. Drain all old oil into a container.
4. Replace the transmission pan gasket. Clean the surface of the pan and gasket from old oil and dirt. Install the new gasket in place.
5. Tighten the drain plug using a torque wrench. Make sure the plug is tightened to the torque specified in your vehicle’s owner’s manual.
6. Remove the drain bolt from the side of the transmission. Drain the remaining oil and install a new drain bolt.
7. Remove the transmission pan. Remove the bolts securing the pan to the gearbox. Remove the pan carefully as there may be residual oil in it.
8. Replace the transmission oil filter. Locate the oil filter in the pan and remove it. Install the new oil filter in place.
9. Clean the transmission pan. Remove any old oil, dirt, or debris from the pan.
10. Reinstall the transmission pan. Make sure the new gasket is installed correctly. Tighten the bolts securing the pan to the transmission. Tighten the bolts to the torque specified in the vehicle’s owner’s manual.
11. Fill with new transmission oil. Use a funnel to pour the required amount of new oil into the transmission. The oil volume depends on the car model and transmission type. Check the transmission oil level using the dipstick and add if necessary.
12. Start the engine and warm up the car. Shift the gear lever through all gears. This will help distribute the new oil throughout the transmission.
13. Check the transmission oil level. Stop the engine and wait a few minutes for the oil to drain into the pan. Check the oil level using the dipstick and add if necessary.

Note:

* Regular transmission oil changes are very important to ensure the smooth operation and longevity of your automatic transmission.
* Please refer to your owner’s manual for the type of transmission oil required for your vehicle.
*If you do not feel confident performing this procedure yourself, it is highly recommended that you seek assistance from a qualified mechanic.
