Checking the oil level in the automatic transmission (automatic transmission) Nissan Almera Classic
Required tools:
* Rag or napkin
* Dipstick for checking the automatic transmission oil level
Instructions:
1. Place the car on a level surface. This will ensure an accurate oil level measurement.
2. Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes. This will allow the oil to warm up and circulate through the transmission.
3. Shift the gear selector to all positions and return to Park (P). This will ensure oil circulation throughout the entire transmission mechanism.
4. Pull out the dipstick to check the automatic transmission oil level. It is usually located in the engine compartment next to the engine.
5. Clean the dipstick with a clean cloth or tissue. This will remove excess oil.
6. Insert the dipstick back into the tube and pull it out again. The oil level should be between the “HOT” (hot) and “COLD” (cold) marks on the dipstick.
7. If the oil level is below the “HOT” mark, add oil to the gearbox. Use only oil recommended by the manufacturer for your specific model.
8. If the oil level is above the “HOT” mark, drain the excess oil. To do this, use the drain plug at the bottom of the transmission pan.
9. Insert the dipstick back into the tube and check the oil level again. Bring the level to the “HOT” mark.
10. Tighten the feeler gauge and assemble all parts.
Recommendations:
* Check the oil level in the automatic transmission regularly, approximately every 3000-5000 km.
* Replace the automatic transmission oil and filter in accordance with the recommendations of your vehicle manufacturer.
*Using the wrong oil or oil level may damage the transmission.
