Materials:

* Transmission oil for automatic transmission (for example, Nissan Matic Fluid D)
* Funnel
* Flat blade screwdriver
* Wrenches (19mm and 24mm)
* Automatic transmission pan gasket (if required)

Instructions:

1. Start the engine and warm it up. This will thin the oil and make draining easier.
2. Stop the engine and raise the vehicle. Use jacks and stands to provide safe access to the underbody of the vehicle.
3. Remove the automatic transmission pan. To do this, unscrew the pan bolts using a 19 mm wrench. You may have to pry the pan with a flat blade screwdriver to remove it.
4. Drain the old oil. Place a drain pan under the automatic transmission and allow the old oil to drain.
5. Replace the automatic transmission pan gasket. If the gasket is damaged, it must be replaced with a new one.
6. Clean the automatic transmission pan. Use automatic transmission cleaner and a rag to clean the pan of dirt and residue.
7. Reinstall the automatic transmission pan. To do this, tighten the pan bolts using a 19mm wrench.
8. Fill the automatic transmission with oil. Using a funnel, pour new oil into the automatic transmission through the filler plug. Fill in approximately the same amount of oil as was drained.
9. Check the oil level. To do this, start the engine and switch the automatic transmission selector to all positions. Then shift the selector lever to Park (P) and remove the dipstick. The oil level should be between the «Hot» and «Cold» marks on the dipstick.
10. If necessary, add oil. If the oil level is too low, add a small amount of oil.
11. Reset the oil aging counter. To do this, follow this procedure:
* Start the engine and press the brake pedal.
* Switch the automatic transmission selector to all positions with a delay of several seconds in each position.
* Shift the selector lever to the Park (P) position and hold it there for 20 seconds.
* Turn off the engine.

Note:

* It is recommended to change transmission oil for Nissan Almera automatic transmission every 60,000 km or every 2 years, whichever comes first.
*Always use the transmission oil recommended by the manufacturer for your specific vehicle.
