Automatic transmission

* Replacement interval: not serviced during the life of the gearbox

Note: Some Opel Mokka models with automatic transmissions may have an additional external filter which requires replacement at the recommended service interval (usually around 60,000 km or 40,000 miles).

Manual transmission

*Filter type: External mesh filter
* Replacement interval: not serviced during the life of the gearbox

Replacing the filter of the external automatic transmission box (if equipped)

1. Raise and secure the vehicle on a lift or jack stands.
2. Locate the transmission oil pan.
3. Clean the oil pan of dirt and debris.
4. Remove the oil pan and drain the transmission oil.
5. Replace the transmission filter and oil pan gasket.
6. Reinstall the oil pan and tighten the bolts.
7. Pour new transmission oil into the gearbox.
8. Start the engine and run it for a few minutes while checking for leaks.
