Location of the Mitsubishi Outlander automatic transmission cooling radiator
1. Open the hood.
2. Find the engine radiator. This is a large dark box located in the front of the engine compartment.
3. Monitor the automatic transmission hoses. They will lead to a small radiator located next to the engine radiator.
4. The automatic transmission cooling radiator will be smaller than the engine radiator and usually has the shape of a parallelepiped.

Automatic transmission cooling radiator function
The automatic transmission cooler helps dissipate the heat generated in the transmission. It circulates transmission fluid through its tubes, where it is cooled by air flow. Cooling the transmission fluid helps prevent overheating and mechanical damage to the transmission.
