Replacing automatic transmission cooling hoses
1. Prepare the necessary tools and materials, including new hoses, hose clamps, automatic transmission fluid collection pan, and automatic transmission fluid to replenish.
2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
3. Raise the car on a lift or place it on jacks.
4. Locate the automatic transmission cooling hoses near the radiator.
5. Loosen the hose clamps using a wrench or pliers.
6. Disconnect the hoses from the radiator and automatic transmission.
7. Place a pan under the automatic transmission to collect any leaking fluid.
8. Install new hoses in place. Make sure the new hoses are oriented and secured correctly.
9. Secure the hoses with new hose clamps.
10. Lower the vehicle.
11. Check the automatic transmission fluid level and add if necessary.
12. Check for leaks by starting the engine and letting it idle.
