* New automatic transmission filter with gasket
* Automatic transmission pan gasket
* 10 mm socket wrench
* Driver or set of ratchets
* Shallow container for draining liquid
* Rags

Procedure for replacing the Mitsubishi Delica automatic transmission filter:

1. Preparation

* Place the car on a level surface.
* Stop the engine and apply the parking brake.
*Wait for the engine and transmission to cool down.

2. Draining the automatic transmission fluid

* Locate the transmission pan at the bottom of the transmission.
* Unscrew the pan drain plug using a 10 mm socket wrench.
* Drain the automatic transmission fluid into a shallow container.

3. Removing the automatic transmission pan

* Unscrew the bolts around the perimeter of the automatic transmission pan using a wrench or a set of ratchets.
* Carefully remove the pan, avoiding loss of automatic transmission fluid.

4. Replacing the automatic transmission filter

* Remove the old automatic transmission filter from the gasket.
* Clean the surface under the filter gasket.
* Install the new automatic transmission filter with a new gasket in place.

5. Installing the automatic transmission pan

* Install a new automatic transmission pan gasket onto the pan.
* Reinstall the pan and tighten the bolts around the perimeter.

6. Filling automatic transmission fluid

* Pour new automatic transmission fluid into the gearbox through the dipstick hole.
* The amount of liquid to be filled depends on the car model; Please read the instruction manual.

7. Checking the automatic transmission fluid level

* Start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature.
* Shift the gear lever to each position and return it to the park position.
* Measure the automatic transmission fluid level using a dipstick and add it if necessary.

8. Resetting the automatic transmission fluid replacement counter

* On some Mitsubishi Delica models, it is necessary to reset the automatic transmission fluid change counter. Refer to your instruction manual for instructions on how to do this.

9. Leak test

* Check for automatic transmission fluid leaks from the automatic transmission pan and any other connections. If necessary, tighten bolts or replace gaskets.
