Possible reasons:

1. Problems with the sensor.
* The automatic transmission selector position sensor is faulty and sends an erroneous signal to the ECU, which leads to engine failure.
*A faulty wheel speed sensor can also cause the engine to stall when changing gears.

2. Torque converter malfunction.
* The torque converter does not transfer power smoothly from the engine to the transmission, resulting in vibration and stalling.
* The torque converter lock-up may be faulty, preventing the engine from idling freely when in gear.

3. Electrical problems.
* Loose or damaged electrical connections may cause the engine to malfunction.
* A faulty ECU or transmission control module may not process signals correctly and cause the engine to stall.

4. Engine malfunctions.
*Low fuel level, clogged fuel filter, or faulty fuel pump can cause insufficient fuel flow to the engine and cause the engine to stall.
*Ignition system problems, such as faulty spark plugs or ignition coils, can cause the engine to misfire and stall.
* Worn or clogged valves or rings can cause loss of compression and a stalling engine.

Diagnosis and elimination:

1. Check sensors related to automatic transmission and engine operation using a diagnostic scanner.
2. Check the torque converter for leaks or signs of wear.
3. Check electrical connections and replace any damaged or loose wires or connectors.
4. Check and correct any engine problems such as fuel, ignition or compression problems.

Note: Accurate diagnosis and resolution of the problem requires professional diagnostics and the use of special equipment. It is recommended to contact a service station to resolve the problem.
