To check the oil level in a Mazda 6 automatic transmission you must:

Materials:

*Clean rag or paper towel
* ATF oil (if topping up is required)

Instructions:

1. Warm up the engine: Drive the vehicle for several kilometers to warm up the transmission fluid.
2. Park on a level surface: Park the vehicle on a level surface with the parking brake applied.
3. Remove the oil dipstick: Locate the automatic transmission oil dipstick, usually located on the side of the transmission. Pull out the dipstick.
4. Wipe the dipstick: Wipe the dipstick with a clean rag or paper towel.
5. Insert the dipstick: Insert the dipstick back into the tube and pull it out again.
6. Check the oil level: The oil level should be between the “MIN” and “MAX” marks on the dipstick.
7. Add oil (if necessary): If the oil level is below the “MIN” mark, pour as much ATF through the funnel on the dipstick as necessary to reach the “MAX” mark.
8. Check the oil level again: Repeat steps 3-6 to ensure the oil level is within the operating range.
9. Reset the oil change counter (if necessary): If you have added oil, you may need to reset the oil change counter. Refer to your owner’s manual for specific instructions.

Notes:

* Check the automatic transmission oil level regularly, especially before long trips.
* Use ATF fluid recommended for your Mazda 6 model.
* Do not overfill automatic transmission oil, as this may lead to problems with the transmission.
* If the automatic transmission oil level has dropped significantly or you notice leaks, take the car to a service center as soon as possible for inspection and repair.
