3. Checking the filter: The automatic transmission filter catches dirt and metal particles from the ATF. The filter must be checked regularly and replaced if necessary.
4. Replacing the Torque Converter Gasket: The torque converter gasket can wear out or lose seal over time, causing ATF leaks. It must be replaced during maintenance.
5. Cleaning the torque converter: The torque converter part itself must be thoroughly cleaned of dirt and accumulated ATF.

Signs of a torque converter malfunction

If the torque converter is faulty, the following symptoms may appear:

* Difficulty shifting gears
* Vibration or humming noise when shifting gears
*ATF leaks
*Decreased fuel efficiency
