Left drive oil seal Chevrolet Lacetti automatic transmission

Function:
The left-hand drive oil seal prevents transmission fluid from leaking from the automatic transmission at the junction of the left axle shaft with the gearbox housing.
Location:
The oil seal is located on the left side of the transmission, where the left drive shaft exits.
Required tool for replacement:
* Set of keys and sockets
* Mounting blade
* New gasket
* Rags
Replacement instructions:
1. Raise the front of the car and install supports.
2. Remove the wheel on the left side.
3. Disconnect the lower ball joint from the steering knuckle.
4. Unscrew the hub nut and remove the hub with the drive shaft.
5. Using a pry blade, carefully pry the seal and remove it.
6. Clean the oil seal seat from dirt and old gasket.
7. Apply a small amount of sealant to the outer surface of the new oil seal.
8. Insert the oil seal into the seat until it stops.
9. Reassemble all components in reverse order.
10. Check the transmission fluid level in the automatic transmission and add if necessary.
