Replacement Instructions:
1. Prepare the vehicle and raise it. Place the vehicle on a level surface and set the parking brake. Jack up the front of the car and install stands.
2. Stop the engine and let it cool. Wait until the engine has cooled to prevent hot oil from spilling on you.
3. Find the automatic transmission oil pan. It is located under the vehicle, usually at the rear of the transmission.
4. Drain the old oil. Place a drain pan under the oil pan and remove the drain plug. Allow the old oil to drain completely.
5. Replace the automatic transmission oil filter. Remove the old oil filter from the oil pan and install the new one.
6. Clean the oil pan and install a new gasket. Clean the oil pan of the old gasket and pour a small amount of new automatic transmission oil onto the new gasket. Install the gasket onto the oil pan and screw it back on.
7. Fill in new automatic transmission oil. Using a funnel, pour new automatic transmission oil into the dipstick hole. Fill in about 6 liters of oil.
8. Start the engine and warm it up. Start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature. Shift the shift lever to each position and return to park.
9. Check the automatic transmission oil level. Stop the engine and wait a few minutes for the oil to settle. Pull out the automatic transmission oil level dipstick, wipe it and insert it back. Remove the dipstick and check the oil level. Add more oil if necessary.
