Materials:

* Automatic transmission oil (ATF) recommended by the manufacturer
* New automatic transmission filter
* New pan gasket
* Rags or paper towels

Tools:

* Wrench or ratchet with socket set
* Funnel
* Oil drain container with a capacity of at least 5 liters
* Gloves

Procedure:

1. Warm up the engine. Start the engine and warm it up to operating temperature to thin the ATF.
2. Raise the car. Raise the vehicle on a jack or lift, providing safe access to the underbody of the vehicle.
3. Install a container to drain the oil. Place a container to drain the oil under the automatic transmission sump housing.
4. Unscrew the drain plug. Use a wrench or ratchet to remove the oil pan drain plug. Be careful, the oil may be hot.
5. Drain the oil. Allow the oil to drain into a drainage container.
6. Replace the filter. Locate the automatic transmission filter, which is usually located in the sump housing, and replace it with a new filter.
7. Install a new gasket. Clean the surface of the pan housing and install a new gasket.
8. Reinstall the sump housing. Lift the pan housing and install it in place with a new gasket. Tighten the pan housing bolts to the required torque.
9. Fill the gearbox with oil. Use a funnel to fill the automatic transmission with new ATF. The oil level should match the «Hot» mark on the dipstick to check the oil level.
10. Check the oil level. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Then check the oil level on the dipstick and, if necessary, add oil to the required level.
11. Lower the vehicle. Lower the vehicle and remove the jack or lift.

Adviсe:

* It is recommended to change the oil in the automatic transmission every 50,000-75,000 km.
*Using high quality ATF oil is critical to efficient transmission performance.
* Do not overtighten the pan housing bolts as this may damage the gasket.
* Check the automatic transmission oil level on a regular basis.
