* 12mm hex key
* Flat head screwdriver
* Round nose pliers
* New automatic transmission drive oil seal (OEM numbers: MR992259 (left), MR992260 (right))
* Automatic transmission fluid

Steps to replace the oil seal:

1. Remove the wheel. Using a wrench, loosen the wheel bolts on the side that contains the oil seal to be replaced. Raise the car with a jack and remove the wheel.

2. Disconnect the tie rod. Using a wrench, loosen the tie rod nut. Hit the steering knuckle pin with a hammer to disengage it from the steering knuckle.

3. Remove the drive shaft. Using a 12mm hex wrench, remove the bolts holding the drive shaft to the transmission flange. Pull the drive shaft out of the transmission.

4. Remove the old oil seal. Using a flathead screwdriver and pliers, carefully pry and remove the old oil seal from its installation location.

5. Install a new oil seal. Make sure the oil seal seat is clean. Apply a small amount of transmission fluid to the outer edge of the new oil seal and gently push it into place by hand.

6. Install the drive shaft. Lubricate the drive shaft splines with transmission fluid. Insert the drive shaft into the gearbox and tighten its mounting bolts.

7. Connect the tie rod end. Insert the tie rod pin into the steering knuckle and tighten the nut.

8. Install the wheel. Install the wheel and tighten the wheel bolts.

9. Check the transmission fluid level. Start the engine and let it idle. Check the transmission fluid level on the dipstick. Add fluid if necessary.
