The engine mount serves to secure the engine to the body and dampen its vibrations. It consists of two parts: a rubber-metal hinge and a bracket attached to the body. The rear engine mount keeps it from moving backward and dampens vibrations that occur during operation of the power unit.

Signs of a malfunction of the rear engine mount of the Kia Spectra automatic transmission:

* The appearance of engine knocks and vibrations when driving and idling
* Perceptible vibrations of the gear lever when switching modes
* Oil leak from support
* Rubber-metal joint ruptures
* Bracket deformation

Replacing the rear engine mount of a Kia Spectra automatic transmission:

1. Remove the engine protection.
2. Unscrew the nuts securing the support bracket to the body.
3. Remove the support bracket.
4. Disconnect the rubber-metal hinge from the bracket.
5. Install the new rubber-to-metal hinge into the bracket.
6. Install the bracket assembly with the new hinge onto the engine.
7. Tighten the nuts securing the bracket to the body.
8. Install engine protection.

Recommended replacement interval for the rear engine mount of the Kia Spectra automatic transmission:

* When signs of malfunction appear
* After 60-80 thousand kilometers
