Materials:

* New solenoid
* Transmission fluid
* New transmission filter
* Transmission pan gasket
*Oil resistant sealing gasket
* Wrench set
* Pliers
* Container for draining transmission fluid

Steps:

1. Prepare the car. Place the vehicle on a level surface, set the parking brake and allow the engine to cool.

2. Drain the transmission fluid. Open the transmission pan drain plug and drain the fluid into a container.

3. Remove the transmission pan. Unscrew the bolts holding the pan and carefully remove it, being careful not to damage the gasket.

4. Remove the old solenoid. Locate the solenoid on the transmission housing and disconnect the electrical connector from it. Use pliers to pull the solenoid out of the housing.

5. Install a new solenoid. Insert the new solenoid into place and secure it. Connect the electrical connector.

6. Install a new transmission filter. Remove the old filter and install the new one.

7. Install the transmission pan. Apply oil-resistant sealant to the new pan gasket and install the gasket to the pan. Place the pan in place and secure it with bolts.

8. Fill with new transmission fluid. Fill the transmission with the manufacturer’s recommended amount of transmission fluid.

9. Start the engine. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes, shifting gears to circulate transmission fluid.

10. Check the fluid level. Check the fluid level through the dipstick hole and add fluid to the correct level if necessary.

Note:

*This procedure is general and may vary slightly depending on the specific model and year of your vehicle.
* It is recommended that you consult the service manual for your specific vehicle model for more precise instructions.
* Transmission solenoid replacement should be performed by an experienced mechanic with knowledge of automatic transmission systems.
