Tools and materials:
* Wrench set
* Head set
* Flat head screwdriver
* Extension for heads
* Torque wrench
* New crankshaft oil seal
* Sealant
* Rags
Replacement procedure:
1. Preparing the car
* Set the parking brake and turn off the engine.
* Raise and secure the vehicle on a lift or supports.
* Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Removing protection
*Remove the protective panels under the engine to gain access to the crankshaft.
3. Disconnecting components
* Disconnect the exhaust system from the exhaust manifold.
* Disconnect the speedometer cable from the gearbox.
* Remove the starter.
* Remove the flywheel.
4. Removing the gearbox
* While supporting the gearbox with a jack, remove the bolts securing it to the engine.
* Carefully remove the transmission and disconnect it from the engine.
5. Removing the oil seal
* Carefully pry up the old oil seal with a flathead screwdriver and remove it.
* Clean the area around the oil seal installation area of old sealant and dirt.
6. Installing a new oil seal
* Apply sealant to the outer edge of the new oil seal.
* Insert the new oil seal into the seat and drive it in with a hammer or special tool.
7. Gearbox installation
* Reinstall the gearbox and secure it with bolts.
* Make sure all connectors and cables are connected.
8. Installation of other components
* Install the flywheel and starter.
* Connect the exhaust system.
* Connect the speedometer cable.
9. Final stage
* Install protective panels under the engine.
* Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
* Lower the vehicle from the lift or supports.
Bolt tightening:
* Transmission bolts: 95 Nm
* Flywheel bolts: 120 Nm
