The dipstick for measuring the transmission fluid level in the automatic transmission of a Kia Rio is located in the engine compartment.
Instructions for detecting it:
1. Open the hood.
2. Locate the engine and its rear.
3. Observe the upper right side of the engine (passenger side).
4. Near the back of the engine you should see a tube with a yellow or orange ring on it.
5. This is the gearbox dipstick.
Note:
* Do not start the car before checking the automatic transmission fluid level.
* Make sure the vehicle is on a level surface and the transmission is in Park (P).
