Required tools:

* Wrench or socket wrench
* New ATF temperature sensor (automatic transmission)

Instructions:

1. Ensure safety: Park the vehicle on a level surface, apply the parking brake, and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Determine the location of the sensor: The ATF temperature sensor is usually located on the automatic transmission housing.
3. Remove the protective cap: Remove the protective cap from the sensor using a wrench or socket wrench.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector: Press the tab or release the clip on the electrical connector to disconnect it from the sensor.
5. Remove the sensor: Use a wrench or socket wrench to remove the ATP temperature sensor.
6. Install the new sensor: Screw the new sensor into place by hand tightening it. Tighten the sensor using a wrench or socket wrench, but do not overtighten it.
7. Connect the electrical connector: Connect the electrical connector to the sensor. Make sure it is fully latched.
8. Install the protective cap: Place the protective cap on the sensor.
9. Connect the battery: Connect the negative terminal to the battery.
