Materials:
* Fresh ATF transmission oil (volume depends on the car model)
* New transmission pan gasket
* New transmission oil filter (if required)
* Funnel or pump for filling oil
* Wrench or ratchet
* Socket or socket wrench for unscrewing the drain plug
Cautions:
* Changing the gearbox oil must be done with the vehicle on jacks or a lift.
* Transmission oil is hot and may cause burns. Be careful when handling it.
Instructions:
1. Warm up the engine and gearbox. Drive the car for several kilometers so that the oil warms up and becomes more fluid.
2. Stop the engine and put the car on the parking brake.
3. Gather the necessary materials.
4. Jack up the front of the vehicle and place it on jacks or a lift.
5. Open the hood and remove the air filter. This is necessary to access the transmission drain plug.
6. Place a container under the transmission drain plug.
7. Loosen and remove the drain plug using an appropriate socket wrench or socket wrench. Be careful as oil will start to leak out.
8. Allow the oil to completely drain into the container. This may take a few minutes.
9. Replace the drain plug with a new gasket and tighten it.
10. Unscrew the bolts securing the transmission pan and remove it. The pan may contain remaining oil, so be careful.
11. Remove and replace the transmission oil filter (if necessary).
12. Clean the pan and sealing surface of the gearbox.
13. Apply a new gasket to the pan.
14. Reinstall the pan and tighten the bolts.
15. Fill the transmission with new ATF oil. Use a funnel or pump to fill the oil. The amount of oil to be filled depends on the car model, so check the operating instructions.
16. Reinstall the air filter.
17. Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.
18. Check the oil level in the gearbox. Using the dipstick, check whether the oil level is within the operating range. Add oil if necessary.
