Required materials and tools:

* Engine oil for automatic transmission
* Automatic transmission oil pan filter
* New pan o-ring
* Drain plug gasket
* Brush for metal surfaces
* Funnel
* Ratchet wrench and extension
* 19 mm head
* 10 mm head
* 17 mm wrench (for draining oil)
* Oil drain container
* Gloves

Steps:

1. Preparation

* Stop the engine and park the car.
* Support the vehicle with jacks to provide access to the underbody.

2. Drain the old oil

* Find the automatic transmission pan drain plug. It is usually located at the bottom of the pan next to the oil filter.
* Place a container under the drain hole.
*Using a 17mm wrench, carefully unscrew the drain plug.
* Allow the oil to drain completely.

3. Replacing the oil pan filter

* Locate the oil filter on the automatic transmission pan. It is usually black or metallic in color and attached to a pallet.
*Using a ratchet wrench and a 10mm socket, remove the bolts holding the filter in place.
*Remove the old filter.
* Clean the filter seat with a brush for metal surfaces.
* Install the new filter and tighten the bolts.

4. Installing a new pan o-ring

* Clean the surface around the automatic transmission pan.
* Remove the old pan o-ring.
* Apply a thin coat of transmission oil to the new O-ring.
* Install a new sealing ring on the automatic transmission pan.

5. Installing the automatic transmission pan

* Lift the automatic transmission pan into place and align it with the bolts.
*Tighten the pan bolts using a ratchet wrench and a 19mm socket. Tighten the bolts diagonally in the order shown.

6. Installing the drain plug

* Install a new drain plug gasket.
* Screw the drain plug into the automatic transmission pan. Tighten the plug using a 17mm wrench.

7. Filling with new oil

* Find the automatic transmission filler tube. It is usually located on the side of the transmission and has a red cover.
* Insert the funnel into the filling tube.
* Fill the automatic transmission with the recommended amount of gear oil.
* Check the oil level using the automatic transmission dipstick. The level should be between the “MIN” and “MAX” marks.

8. Cleaning and inspection

* Remove all tools and materials.
* Lower the vehicle to the ground.
* Start the engine and shift the automatic transmission selector to all positions.
* Check for oil leaks under the car.

Adviсe:

* It is recommended to replace the automatic transmission oil and filter every 60,000-100,000 km.
* Use gear oil recommended by the vehicle manufacturer.
* Be careful when draining the oil as it may be hot.
* Dispose of old oil and filter according to local regulations.
