Job description of an electrician for car repair
I. General provisions
1.1. This job description defines the job duties, rights and responsibilities of an electrician for car repair (hereinafter referred to as the Locksmith).
1.2. A mechanic is appointed to a position and dismissed from it by order of the general director of the enterprise upon the recommendation of [the position of the head of the relevant department].
1.3. The mechanic reports directly to [the position of the head of the relevant department].
1.4. A person who has a secondary vocational education in the specialty “Electrician for the repair and maintenance of electrical equipment” or “Electromechanic for the repair and maintenance of electrical equipment” and work experience in the specialty of at least [number] years is appointed to the position of Mechanic.
1.5. The locksmith must know:
– design and principle of operation of electrical equipment of automobiles;
– rules and regulations for maintenance and repair of electrical equipment of automobiles;
– technology and methods of diagnostics, repair and maintenance of electrical equipment of automobiles;
– electrical safety rules;
– device and rules for using measuring instruments;
– technical characteristics and standards for materials used in the repair of electrical equipment of automobiles;
– rules and regulations of labor protection and fire safety.
1.6. In his activities, the Locksmith is guided by:
– current legislation of the Russian Federation;
– regulatory and methodological documents on the operation and repair of electrical equipment of automobiles;
– instructions and instructions from the management of the enterprise;
– internal labor regulations;

II. Job responsibilities
The locksmith performs the following duties:
2.1. Carries out diagnostics, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment of automobiles.
2.2. Performs external inspections and tests of electrical wiring, lighting fixtures, electronic engine control systems and other vehicle electrical systems.
2.3. Detects faults in the operation of electrical equipment of cars using special diagnostic devices.
2.4. Takes necessary measures to eliminate identified faults and restores the functionality of electrical equipment of vehicles.
2.5. Replaces faulty parts and components of electrical equipment of cars with new or repaired ones.
2.6. Adjusts electrical equipment of vehicles in accordance with technical requirements.
2.7. Performs installation and dismantling of electrical equipment of automobiles.
2.8. Performs maintenance and preventative work on electrical equipment of vehicles.
2.9. Participates in the development of electrical plans and diagrams for new or modified vehicle models.
2.10. Consults drivers and other company employees on the operation and maintenance of electrical equipment of vehicles.
2.11. Keeps records and prepares reports on work performed.

IV. Responsibility
The locksmith is responsible for:

4.2. Damage caused to the company in connection with the performance or failure to perform one’s official duties.
4.3. Inaccurate information about the status of work performed.
4.4. Failure to comply with labor protection, safety and fire protection rules and regulations.
