Job description of a car electrician
1. General provisions
1.1. This job description has been developed in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation and regulates the labor activities of a car electrician (hereinafter referred to as the Electrician).
1.2. An electrician is appointed and dismissed by order of the head of the enterprise in the manner prescribed by law.
1.3. The electrician reports directly to [department manager / directly to the chief electrician].
1.4. During the absence of the Electrician, his rights and obligations are transferred to another official, as announced in the order for the enterprise.
1.5. The electrician must know:
* technology for repair and maintenance of electrical equipment of automobiles;
* design and principles of operation of electrical equipment of automobiles;
* rules for technical operation of electrical equipment;
* electrical safety rules;
* fire safety rules;
* basics of technical mechanics, electrical engineering and electronics;
* device, purpose and procedure for using instrumentation and diagnostic devices;
* standards and technical specifications for electrical equipment of automobiles;
* procedure for preparing technical documentation;
* labor protection and environmental regulations;
* internal rules and regulations of the enterprise.
2. Job responsibilities
An electrician performs the following duties:
2.1. Carries out maintenance and repair of electrical equipment of cars of all types and brands in accordance with technological maps and instructions of the manufacturer.
2.2. Diagnoses malfunctions and defects in the operation of electrical equipment of cars using specialized instruments and diagnostic programs.
2.3. Replaces and repairs faulty components and parts of electrical equipment.
2.4. Carries out adjustments and configurations of electrical equipment of cars.
2.5. Installs additional electrical equipment on cars.
2.6. Monitors the correct operation of vehicle electrical equipment after repair work.
2.7. Prepares technical documentation for completed work.
2.8. Complies with labor protection and fire safety regulations.
2.9. Complies with the requirements of production and technological discipline.
2.10. Follows orders and instructions from the manager.
3. Rights
The electrician has the right:
3.1. Get acquainted with draft decisions of the enterprise management concerning its activities.
3.2. Make proposals for improving work related to the duties provided for in these instructions.
3.3. Request from the structural divisions of the enterprise information and documents necessary to fulfill their official duties.
3.4. Involve specialists from other structural divisions of the enterprise to solve assigned problems.
3.5. Require the management of the enterprise to create the necessary conditions for the performance of job duties.
3.6. Pass certification for suitability for the position held in the prescribed manner.
4. Responsibility
The electrician is responsible for:
4.1. Improper performance or failure to fulfill one’s official duties as provided for in these instructions.
4.2. Violation of rules and regulations of labor protection, fire and environmental safety.
4.3. Causing material damage to the enterprise.
4.4. Inaccurate information about the status of work performed and the technical readiness of vehicles.
4.5. Failure to comply with the requirements of the enterprise management.
4.6. For other violations provided for by law and internal regulations of the enterprise.
5. Final provisions
5.1. This job description comes into force from the moment it is approved by the head of the enterprise.
5.2. Amendments and additions to this job description are possible only on the basis of an order from the head of the enterprise.
5.3. The electrician must read this job description and sign it.
