Job description of an electrician for car repairs

1. General provisions

1.1. This job description defines the functional duties, rights and responsibilities of an electrician for car repairs.
1.2. An electrician for car repairs is appointed and dismissed by order of the head of the organization upon the recommendation of the head of the relevant department.
1.3. An electrician for car repairs reports directly to the head of the department (foreman).
1.4. A person who has a secondary vocational education in the relevant profile and work experience in the specialty of at least 3 years is accepted for the position of electrician for car repair.
1.5. In his activities, an electrician repairing a car is guided by:
– current legislation of the Russian Federation;
– internal labor regulations;
– orders and instructions of the organization’s management;
– this job description;
– job descriptions of other employees with whom the electrician interacts on issues of activity;
– technological and technical documentation regulating the work on car repairs.

2. Functional responsibilities

A car repair electrician performs the following job responsibilities:

2.1. Conducts diagnostics and repairs of electrical equipment of vehicles, including:
– electrical wiring;
– lighting fixtures;
– sound signals;
– starters and generators;
– ignition systems;
– engine control systems.
2.2. Determines electrical equipment faults using diagnostic equipment and special tools.
2.3. Replaces faulty parts and components.
2.4. Performs adjustments and configurations of electrical equipment.
2.5. Develops and implements new methods and tools for repair and maintenance of electrical equipment of automobiles.
2.6. Controls the quality of work performed.
2.7. Complies with labor protection, industrial sanitation and fire safety requirements.
2.8. Keeps records of work performed.
2.9. Prepares reports on the work done.

3. Rights

An electrician who repairs a car has the right to:

3.1. Require the management of the organization to create conditions for the performance of their official duties.
3.2. Make proposals for improving work methods and organizing your work.
3.3. Request and receive from the immediate supervisor and other employees information necessary to perform their job duties.
3.4. Get acquainted with draft orders and regulations of the organization’s management relating to its activities.
3.5. Improve your qualifications in the prescribed manner.

4. Responsibility

An electrician who repairs a car is responsible for:

4.1. For improper performance or failure to fulfill one’s official duties as provided for in this job description.
4.2. For violation of internal labor regulations, labor protection rules, safety regulations and fire safety.
4.3. For the safety and rational use of the material and monetary resources entrusted to him.
4.4. For causing material damage to the organization within the limits established by the current labor legislation of the Russian Federation.
