Job description of an electrician for car repair

I. General provisions

1.1. An electrician who repairs cars belongs to the category of workers.
1.2. A person who has a secondary vocational education in the relevant specialty and at least 2 years of work experience in the profession is appointed to the position of electrician for car repair.
1.3. A car repair electrician must know:
– rules for vehicle maintenance and repair;
– design and principle of operation of electrical equipment of automobiles;
– methods of checking and repairing electrical equipment of automobiles;
– rules of operation and maintenance of control and diagnostic equipment;
– occupational safety and health regulations.
1.4. A car repair electrician reports directly to the workshop foreman.
1.5. In his activities, an electrician for car repair is guided by:
– job description;
– internal labor regulations;
– occupational safety and health regulations;
– orders and instructions of the enterprise administration;
– technical documentation and operating instructions for electrical equipment of automobiles.

II. Job responsibilities

A car repair electrician performs the following job responsibilities:
2.1. Performs maintenance and repair of electrical equipment of automobiles.
2.2. Determines faults in electrical equipment of cars using control and diagnostic equipment and instruments.
2.3. Repairs and replaces faulty elements of electrical equipment of cars (starters, generators, relays, wires, sensors, batteries, etc.).
2.4. Performs adjustments and configurations of electrical equipment of automobiles.
2.5. Together with the mechanic, checks the correct installation and fastening of electrical equipment after repair.
2.6. Draws up the necessary technical documentation for the work performed.
2.7. Complies with occupational safety and health regulations.
2.8. Takes measures to prevent and eliminate the consequences of accidents and breakdowns.
2.9. Maintains work area and tools in good condition.

III. Rights

An electrician for car repairs has the right to:
3.1. Require the management of the enterprise to create the necessary conditions for the performance of their official duties.
3.2. Get acquainted with the decisions of the enterprise management regarding its activities.
3.3. Offer suggestions for improving your work and improving working conditions.
3.4. Seek help from the head of the enterprise and other officials on issues within his competence.

IV. Responsibility

A car repair electrician is responsible for:
4.1. Improper performance of one’s official duties.
4.2. Violation of safety and labor protection rules.
4.3. Failure to comply with orders and instructions from the management of the enterprise.
