Job description of an electrician for car maintenance

1. General provisions

1.1. This job description defines the job duties, rights and responsibilities of an electrician for car maintenance (hereinafter referred to as an electrician).
1.2. An electrician is appointed to a position and dismissed from it by order of the director of the enterprise upon the recommendation of the head of the technical maintenance department.
1.3. The electrician reports directly to the head of the technical maintenance department.
1.4. An electrician must have a secondary vocational education in the specialty “Electrical technical maintenance of automobiles” and work experience in the position of at least 1 year.
1.5. An electrician must know:
– design, technical characteristics and operating rules of cars of various brands;
– designs, installation, adjustment and repair of electrical equipment of automobiles;
– safety rules when working with electrical equipment;
– technology for diagnosing and repairing electrical equipment of automobiles;
– fire safety rules;
– design and purpose of measuring instruments and stands.

2. Job responsibilities

An electrician performs the following job duties:

2.1. Diagnoses and eliminates faults in vehicle electrical equipment.
2.2. Performs maintenance and repair of electrical equipment of automobiles.
2.3. Performs installation, adjustment and repair of electrical wiring, electrical appliances and electronic systems of automobiles.
2.4. Installs and configures car alarms, audio systems, navigation systems and other electronic equipment.
2.5. Conducts diagnostics and repairs of batteries and battery charging systems.
2.6. Works with technical and reference documentation.
2.7. Keeps records of work performed and compiles relevant documentation.
2.8. Complies with safety regulations when working with electrical equipment.
2.9. Follows instructions from the Maintenance Department Manager.

3. Rights

3.1. Require the management of the enterprise to create the necessary conditions for the performance of their official duties.
3.2. Improve your skills.
3.3. Obtain the information necessary to perform your job duties.
3.4. Make proposals for improving the operation of the enterprise.

4. Responsibility

The electrician is responsible for:

4.1. Failure to perform or improper performance of one’s official duties.
4.2. Failure to comply with safety regulations when working with electrical equipment.
4.3. Damage caused to an enterprise as a result of its actions or inaction.

5. Relationships (connections by position)

An electrician interacts:

– with the head of the technical maintenance department;
– with other electricians;
– with car drivers;
– with suppliers and contractors.
