Job Description for Automotive Electrician
I. General provisions
1.1. A car electrician belongs to the category of workers.
1.2. A person who has a secondary vocational education in the specialty “Electrical equipment of cars and tractors” or has undergone professional retraining in this specialty is appointed to the position of an automobile electrician.
1.3. A car electrician must know:
– structure and principle of operation of automobiles;
– electrical equipment of cars;
– rules and regulations for maintenance and repair of electrical equipment of automobiles;
– safety regulations, labor protection and fire safety.
1.4. An automobile electrician reports directly to the head of the automobile transport workshop or the workshop foreman.
1.5. An automobile electrician is appointed to the position and dismissed from it by order of the director of the enterprise upon the recommendation of the head of the automobile transport workshop.
II. Job responsibilities
A car electrician must:
2.1. Perform maintenance and repair of electrical equipment of automobiles.
2.2. Determine faults in vehicle electrical equipment using diagnostic equipment and tools.
2.3. Troubleshoot vehicle electrical equipment by replacing or repairing faulty components and parts.
2.4. Carry out preventive work to prevent malfunctions of electrical equipment of cars.
2.5. Prepare documentation related to the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment of automobiles.
2.6. Comply with safety regulations, labor protection and fire safety when performing maintenance and repair work on electrical equipment of vehicles.
III. Rights
A car electrician has the right to:
3.1. Get acquainted with all documents of the enterprise directly related to his work activities.
3.2. Demand and receive from company managers and colleagues the assistance necessary to perform his job duties.
3.3. Represent the interests of the enterprise in relations with suppliers and contractors when performing maintenance and repair of electrical equipment of automobiles.
3.4. Make decisions within your competence.
IV. Responsibility
An automotive electrician is responsible for:
4.1. Improper performance or failure to fulfill one’s job duties as provided for in this job description.
4.2. Failure to comply with the rules and regulations for the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment of automobiles.
4.3. Violation of safety regulations, labor protection and fire safety.
4.4. Causing material damage to an enterprise.
