Job description of an electrician for cars

1. General provisions

1.1. This job description defines the job duties, rights and responsibilities of an automobile electrician (hereinafter referred to as the Locksmith).
1.2. A mechanic is appointed to a position and dismissed from it by order of the general director of the organization.
1.3. The mechanic reports directly to the auto repair shop foreman.
1.4. A person with secondary vocational education in the relevant profile and at least 3 years of experience in the specialty is appointed to the position of Locksmith.
1.5. The locksmith must know:
– rules for car maintenance and repair;
– design, technical characteristics and operating principle of automotive electrical systems;
– electrical engineering;
– electrical safety rules;
– rules and regulations of labor protection;
– procedure for preparing technical documentation.

2. Job responsibilities

The locksmith is obliged:
2.1. Perform repairs and maintenance of automotive electrical systems.
2.2. Diagnose faults in vehicle electrical systems using special equipment.
2.3. Install, dismantle and replace electrical equipment and wiring of vehicles.
2.4. Repair electrical equipment and wiring of vehicles, replace failed parts and components.
2.5. Check the quality of repaired electrical wiring and electrical equipment of cars.
2.6. Prepare technical documentation for completed work.
2.7. Comply with labor protection and electrical safety rules.
2.8. Keep the work area clean and tidy.

3. Rights

The locksmith has the right:
3.1. Require the management of the organization to create the conditions necessary for the performance of their official duties.
3.2. Get acquainted with draft orders and other documents relating to its activities.
3.3. Make suggestions for improving work related to his responsibilities.
3.4. Request and receive from other departments of the organization information necessary to perform their job duties.

4. Responsibility

The locksmith is responsible for:
4.1. For improper performance or failure to fulfill one’s official duties as provided for in this job description, within the limits determined by the current legislation of the Russian Federation.
4.2. For failure to comply with labor protection and electrical safety rules.
4.3. For causing material damage to the organization within the limits determined by the current legislation of the Russian Federation.
