1. General provisions
1.1. This job description has been developed based on the qualification characteristics of electricians for car repairs.
1.2. An electrician who repairs cars belongs to the category of workers.
1.3. An electrician for car repairs is appointed to the position and dismissed from it by order of the head of the organization.
1.4. A person who has a secondary vocational education in the specialty “Electrician for the repair and maintenance of electrical equipment of automobiles” or “Auto mechanic” is accepted for the position of electrician for car repair.
1.5. A car repair electrician reports directly to the head of the car repair shop or another official who is entrusted with the management of electricians.
1.6. In his activities, an electrician for car repair is guided by:
– legislative and regulatory acts of the Russian Federation;
– production instructions and regulations;
– this job description.
2. Job responsibilities
A car repair electrician performs the following job responsibilities:
2.1. Repairs electrical equipment of cars, including:
– generators;
– starters;
– headlights;
– direction indicators and hazard warning lights;
– windshield wipers;
– window lifters;
– electronic control units;
– sensors;
– electrical wiring.
2.2. Conducts diagnostics of electrical equipment of vehicles using diagnostic instruments.
2.3. Identifies and eliminates faults in electrical equipment of vehicles, performing the following work:
– replacement of faulty parts and components;
– restoration of electrical wiring;
– adjustment of electrical equipment;
– checking electrical equipment parameters.
2.4. Conducts preventive inspections and routine repairs of electrical equipment of automobiles.
2.5. Draws up reports for the repair of electrical equipment of cars.
2.6. Complies with the rules and regulations of labor protection, industrial sanitation and fire safety.
