Electrician for car repair
1. General provisions
1.1. This job description defines the job duties, rights and responsibilities of an electrician for car repairs.
1.2. An electrician for car repair is appointed and dismissed by order of the director of the enterprise upon the recommendation of the head of the department.
1.3. The car repair electrician reports directly to the head of the department.
1.4. In his activities, a car repair electrician is guided by:
– current legislation;
– local regulations of the enterprise;
– rules and job descriptions;
– orders and instructions from the director of the enterprise and the head of the department;
– this job description.
1.5. An electrician for car repairs must have a higher or secondary vocational education in the specialty “Electrification and automation of transport” or “Electrification and automation of transport”.
1.6. During the period of vacation, temporary disability or other cases of absence of an electrician for car repairs, his duties may be assigned to another employee of the enterprise.
1.7. A car repair electrician must know:
– design and principle of operation of electrical equipment of automobiles;
– rules for maintenance and repair of electrical equipment of automobiles;
– electrical materials and products;
– rules and regulations of labor protection, safety and fire safety.
2. Job responsibilities
A car repair electrician performs the following job responsibilities:
2.1. Diagnoses faults in vehicle electrical equipment.
2.2. Repairs and replaces electrical wiring, electrical equipment and electronic components of cars.
2.3. Charges and maintains batteries.
2.4. Carries out installation and dismantling of electrical equipment during car repairs.
2.5. Checks the quality of repaired electrical equipment of cars.
2.6. Keeps records of work performed to repair electrical equipment of vehicles.
2.7. Participates in the acceptance of spare parts and consumables supplied to the enterprise for the repair of electrical equipment of automobiles.
2.8. Complies with occupational health, safety and fire safety requirements.
2.9. Performs other assignments of the head of the unit that do not contradict the law and this job description.

4. Responsibility
A car repair electrician is responsible for:
4.1. For failure to perform or improper performance of their job duties as provided for in this job description – within the limits established by the current labor legislation.
4.2. For offenses committed in the course of its activities – within the limits established by the current administrative, criminal and civil legislation.
4.3. For causing material damage to the enterprise – within the limits established by current labor and civil legislation.
