Materials:
* Engine oil for automatic transmissions (ATF) VW/Audi G 052 529 A2 or compatible
* New oil filter for automatic transmission (if required)
* Oil pan
* Oil pan gasket
* Funnel
* Wrenches (10mm, 13mm, 17mm)
* Socket with extension (13 mm)
* Rags or paper towels
Replacement procedure:
1. Raise the car:
* Place the car on lifts or jacks, securing the wheels securely.
2. Drain the old oil:
* Locate the automatic transmission oil pan under the vehicle.
* Loosen the oil pan drain plug with a 13 mm wrench and drain the oil into the oil pan.
* Replace the gasket on the drain plug.
* Tighten the drain plug to 25 Nm.
3. Replace the oil filter (if required):
* Locate the automatic transmission oil filter on the oil pan.
* Loosen the filter mounting bolts with a 10 mm wrench and remove it.
* Apply a small amount of new oil to the O-ring of the new filter.
* Install a new filter and tighten the bolts to 10 Nm.
4. Install the oil pan:
* Thoroughly clean the interface between the oil pan and the automatic transmission housing.
* Apply sealant to the new gasket and install it on the oil pan.
* Reinstall the oil pan and tighten the bolts to 7 Nm.
5. Fill with new oil:
* Open the hood and find the automatic transmission dipstick.
* Remove the dipstick and add new oil through the dipstick hole using a funnel.
* Fill in approximately 4 liters of oil.
6. Check the oil level:
* Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.
* Shift the gearshift lever to each position and return it to park mode.
* Remove the dipstick and check the oil level. The level should be between the “MIN” and “MAX” marks on the dipstick.
7. Add oil:
* If the oil level is below the “MIN” mark, carefully add a little more oil until the required level is reached.
*Continue to check the oil level and add until it is within the range.
8. Reset the oil change counter:
*After changing the oil, reset the oil change counter on the instrument panel according to your vehicle’s instructions.
9. Dispose of old oil and filter:
* Properly dispose of used oil and oil filter in accordance with local regulations.
