Occupational safety instructions for an electrician for car repairs
1. General requirements
1.1. The following persons are allowed to work independently as an electrician in car repair:
– not younger than 18 years old;
– have passed a medical examination and are found fit to work in this profession;
– have undergone training and instructions on labor protection;
– passed the exam to test knowledge of labor protection requirements.
1.2. An electrician for car repairs must:
– comply with internal labor regulations;
– perform only the work assigned to him;
– comply with the requirements of this instruction;
– use proper equipment, tools and protective equipment;
– keep the workplace clean and tidy.
1.3. An electrician for car repairs must be provided with the following personal protective equipment:
– cotton overalls;
– leather boots;
– rubber gloves;
– dielectric gloves;
– safety glasses;
– respirator.
2. Labor protection requirements before starting work
2.1. Check the serviceability of overalls and personal protective equipment and put them on.
2.2. Inspect the workplace, remove foreign objects.
2.3. Check the serviceability of equipment and instruments, tools, devices.
2.4. When working near moving parts of the vehicle, make sure they are turned off.
2.5. Check the availability and serviceability of electrical equipment protection devices.
3. Labor protection requirements during work
3.1. Carry out repair work on electrical equipment of cars in the absence of voltage.
3.2. When connecting devices, power tools and other live parts to the electrical network, use dielectric gloves.
3.3. Protect measuring instruments, power tools and live parts from mechanical damage.
3.4. When working with acid and alkaline batteries, wear safety glasses and rubber gloves.
3.5. When soldering, use only a working soldering iron with grounding.
3.6. When working at height, use a safety belt.
4. Occupational safety requirements in emergency situations
4.1. If a fire occurs, notify the fire department and management, take measures to evacuate people and extinguish the fire using primary fire extinguishing agents.
4.2. In case of electric shock, provide first aid to the victim and call an ambulance.
4.3. In the event of an accident, stop work and report the incident to management.
5. Labor protection requirements upon completion of work
5.1. Disconnect electrical equipment from the network.
5.2. Remove protective clothing and personal protective equipment.
5.3. Tidy up your workspace.
5.4. Notify management of all violations of labor protection requirements identified during the working day.
Responsibility for violation of labor protection requirements
For violation of labor safety requirements, an electrician who repairs cars is liable in accordance with the labor legislation of the Russian Federation.
